I am excited that Fall is finally here! I love all the seasons for the different things they offer, but if I had to choose, I think fall would be my favorite. The dahlias are blooming, and the cooler days after a long, hot summer can’t be beat! While we are starting to make plans to put the farm to bed for the winter, we still have a couple more things taking place on the farm before that first frost hits, and we would love to have you join us here!

Family Day on the Farm

Family Day is Saturday, October 2 from 2PM - 6PM! I am so excited to welcome everyone to the farm for this event. We have lots of fun activities planned. Of course the sunflower field will be blooming and you can walk through the field, snap some pictures, and pick a bouquet to take home. We will also have a fabulous face painter, crafts and games for the kids, a maze, live music, and more. We hope this event will be a fun, new activity for you and your family to enjoy this fall.

Date Night on the Farm

Date Night on the Farm is Saturday, October 9 from 4PM - 7PM. It’s a fun evening with delicious food and great music. Each couple will receive a charcuterie box for two, enjoy live music, and bring home a sunflower bouquet to enjoy. WillCo Wine and Cheese offers several charcuterie box choices as well for different dietary needs. Bring you own picnic blanket or chairs and a bottle of wine to enjoy with your charcuterie. Tickets for this event must be purchased in advance so we have time to prepare the customized charcuterie boxes.

UPick Updates

Also, we had previously planned uPicks for Sunday, October 10 and Saturday, October 16, but our last section of sunflowers that we had planned to be available for these events are blooming earlier than expected, so we will no longer be having events on the farm those day. If you are interested in uPick sunflowers, we would love to have you join us for our Family Day on October 2.

Final Thoughts

As we wrap up our 2021 season, I want to thank everyone who has supported our farm! We love getting to meet so many wonderful people and see the joy people experience when coming to the farm or getting a bouquet of our flowers. Even though our growing season is wrapping up for this year, we will be staying busy this fall and winter preparing for next year and working on some new offerings that I am very excited to share more information about in the coming months!
