How to Use Lavender Sachets

Lavender sachets are some of our most popular items sold at Menkveld Farm. However, when people first hear about them, they often wonder what they can be used for. Today I am sharing some of my personal favorite uses for these wonderful lavender bags!

Dresser Drawers
I love having sachets in my dresser drawer! Smelling lavender every time I open up my drawers makes my heart happy! Sometime I give it a little pinch when I put clothes back in the draw in order to let out an extra boost of lavender fragrance.

Pillow Case
When my mind is racing after a busy day, I love to place a sachet in my pillow case. The smell of lavender helps me to calm down and relax so I can fall asleep.

Baby Clothes Bins/Storage
We have been very fortunate to receive a lot of used baby clothes from friends and family, and to help keep them organized, I sort each size into a different bin. To avoid my daughter’s clothes smelling like plastic after sitting in bins for months (or years), I add a sachet or two to each bin to keep her clothes smelling fresh.

Gifts
For Birthdays, Christmas, Mother’s Day, or bridal showers, lavender sachets are my go to when I am looking for a little extra something to add to a gift. They have been very well-received as stocking stuffers and party favors as well.

Wedding Favors
Had I known about lavender sachets before my husband and I married, I would definitely have given each of our wedding guests a customized lavender sachet complete with our name and the date of our wedding.
