What's New for 2021 Lavender Sessions Photos

Last summer we were blown away by the demand for sessions on our farm with the lavender, and couldn’t believe the number of people who wanted to come out to the visit the farm. Because of this, we were also able to identify some ways that we could improve the experience for those who come to the farm and are excited to offer some additional amenities on the farm during our lavender photo session!

New Amenities

Parking!

In past years we have not allowed people to drive down the gravel road due to the severe washouts we had experienced from heavy rainfalls and the deep ruts this left behind. However, this past fall we regarded the gravel road down to the lavender field and altered how the water runs down the property so people can now drive down the hill instead of walking it! We added several parking spots across from the barn which can be used for parking next to our gravel lavender field, and just a short walk from the larger field

Escape from the Heat

June can be warm in Tennessee and since lavender loves the sun, there is not much shade in the field. To help everyone find some relief from the heat, we will be setting up a canopy tent and have water available for our photographers and their clients!

Portable Restrooms and Changing Area

This year we will have several portable restrooms available for use during your time on the farm. We will also be sectioning off an area outside that can be used as a private changing area if clients want to have an outfit change during their photo session.

Lavender Field Updates

Our lavender that is available for photography will be more limited than last year due new plants not being able to fill the gaps and the harsh weather we have had recently. As always, we will find the best section and reserve that exclusively for photo sessions, like in years past. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to reach out or come to the farm for a quick tour.

On another note, we are very excited to have a new field planted, which will be ready for photos in 2022! Next time you are here, we encourage you to head past the creek to get a glimpse of what we will have available for next year!
