Fresh Lavender and June Events
Lavender season will soon be upon us, and we are making preparations for lavender photo sessions, harvesting fresh bouquets, and hosting several events on the farm. Before lavender season kicks off, we wanted to share a quick update on our different lavender fields and let you know how you can enjoy the lavender this year.
Lavender Field Updates
We officially have three lavender fields on the farm! Our original lavender field was planted four year ago and has been the primary field for photo sessions and our uPick events in the past. After several winters and the harsh ice storms this February, the field has suffered some losses, and we will be replanting it after this year’s harvest.
Our second field we planted two years ago and the plants are growing beautifully! We are excited to have this field available for photography and harvesting fresh bouquets this year.
Last fall we prepped our third (and largest) lavender field, and finished planting over 1200 lavender plants a couple weeks ago. While the plants will be too small to harvest this year, they will grow quickly this summer and will hopefully be ready for photos and harvesting next year. We are so excited about this new field and cannot wait to share it with you!
Fresh Lavender Bouquets
Throughout the month of June, you can purchase lavender bouquets through our website for pick-up at the farm. Pick-up is available Monday - Friday, 9AM - 7PM and Saturday and Sunday from 1PM - 7PM.
