Our Big Announcement

This summer was much busier than I expected, so I have definitely fallen behind on my regular blog posts. A lot has changed since I last shared on here, so I thought it’s time to update everyone on what’s going on with our family.

As some of you may have already heard, our time in Tennessee is coming to and end. We are in the process of selling our beautiful farm and will be moving to West Michigan in the coming months. It was hard to acknowledge that we were going to leave this farm, which has been our home for almost 6 years. This is the place where we started our family. It’s also where we have been working towards our dreams and growing our own flower farm. When this year started I would never have thought we would be where we are now. However, God made this choice very clear to both Nathan and I. We are comforted to know this is where God is calling us to be, and He has amazing plans for our family, better than anything we could imagine for ourselves!

As we go forward, there are so many unknowns, but we are taking things one step at a time right now. One thing that I do know is that whatever life looks like in Michigan, I will still be growing cut flowers. It has become such a part of me, I can’t imagine life without growing flowers. As we wrap this season up we are going to be prepping the beds for winter, digging up the dahlias to store for winter, and waiting to see what happens with our current farm and our transition to Michigan. I am going to continue offering my cut flower courses, and may even add one about growing dahlias! I am also going to continue my flower farm consulting and sharing all I have learned the last five years.

I hope you will continue to follow along on our journey as I provide updates on our move, plans for our farm in Tennessee, and what new adventures lie ahead for us in Michigan!

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this adventure the last 5 years. It has meant so much to us.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth Menkveld
