Weddings with Menkveld Farm
Over the last year we have had a lot of requests from brides and wedding planners asking about dried lavender for bouquets and wedding decorations. Lavender makes beautiful wedding bouquets and there are so many beautiful and unique ways it can be used to decorate venues and place settings and be used for wedding favors. We have enjoyed developing some products for our wedding line over the last few months and hope many brides will enjoy them on their wedding day as well!
Wedding Bouquets and Flowers
We launched our lavender wedding line in early July with dried lavender bouquets. We have three different sizes: bridal, bridesmaid, and flower girl. Each bouquet is hand-arranged and beautifully wrapped in white or ivory ribbon. Recently we also started to offer dried lavender corsages and boutonnieres. In the future we hope to expand on our arrangements and include several other dried flowers grown on the farm as well!
Wedding Decorations and Favors
One of our favorite things about lavender is how versatile it can be! Even though these are not wedding specific, our dried lavender bunches can be used for decorating the aisle for the wedding procession, or they can be used as bouquets for table centerpieces at the reception. They also make wonderful Thank You gifts for those who have helped you prepare for the wedding. One of my favorite new wedding products are our mini lavender bouquets. These can be used for decorating place settings or handing out as wedding favors. We are also offering personalized lavender toss bags, so guests can shower the bride and groom with lavender as they leave the wedding!
Wedding Venue
We are also very excited to announce that Menkveld Farm has opened up the farm as a location for outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions. The farm is a wonderful location for small, intimate weddings and is available year round, with each season offering a different experience. We encourage anyone who is interested in having a ceremony or reception at Menkveld Farm to schedule a tour with us.
